S/o/, what kind of aftermarket wheels do you have?
Just how much meat are you running?
If you're still on stockers, post only if wheels are modified/painted/etc or tire sizes notably differ from stock.

Wheels:

I now have NITTO NT555's in the rear which are terrible in the rain (summer tire). Zero traction under any hard acceleration. But they perform great otherwise.

The fronts I not-so-recently put on NITTO Motivo's. Great cost and great performance. They've performed flawlessly in wet weather so far. The widest they go are 275's unfortunately.

Any pics of your C4?

I only went with the Motivo's up front because I had no other choice. Let's just say due to circumstances at the time, these were the only viable option.
>>
>>14324762

i've run different tires front and rear on street cars and race cars all the time. sometimes on a race car running the grippiest tire for the class up front and a lesser tire on the rear can work well for both handling setup and cost. on some rear driver cars that's the only option too. running a drag radial out back and a front runner up front. don't perpetuate a myth with no basis.

They are steel not aluminium. Aluminium wheels are easier to damage, crack, bend etc. offroad. Steel wheels can also be repaired easily.

finally sold the Equip 01s? how much did you end up selling them for?

and my vote is for Longchamps
>>
>>14330163
Ended up selling them for $900 to some guy who only wanted the set for 2 of them. He drove 4hr from NY to come pick them up. Said he had a 93 Starlet and he was going to have 2 TE37s on one side, and 2 Equip 03s on the other.

I'd like Longchamps, but they're hard to find in 15's. Found a set of EX-C Fins I want, but I'd need to have them filled and redrilled, so they would be around $1,800 after shipping. A bit more than I want to spend, and they're not even the specs I want.

They are Michelin pilot sports, guy said fronts were too big and rubbed. One has chunks missing out of tread, the other is just rubbed. This is the chunky one.

When I get out of college I'm gonna sell my S2000 to buy one. Do you know the bolt pattern offset? (And it is an r32 right)
>>
Looking for some advice here, stock wheel size on the fiesta is 17x7 with a 205/40/17 tire.

I think want to go smaller and wider, but the sizes don't really exist for my bolt patteen.

So I've been debating between 17X7, 16X7, or 15x8.

16x8 simply doesn't exist in 4x108.

Application will be a few autox days, a run down the tail of the Dragon, and maybe a hpde day or track night if I can.

Anyway, if it were you what would you do?

>>
>>14331682
I've heard of modifications to R33s and R34s to make them legal, only heard though.
>>
>>14331697
1/96 to 6/98 R33s with dual airbags can be imported and converted to OBDII and a have a bunch of other safety shit installed, but it's not even remotely worth the money.

The only legal R34s are the ones that were grandfathered in after Motorex fucked everything up, and there are only like 14 of them.

That's the short version. Any other Skyline in the US that is not one of those^ and is not over 25 is in the country illegally. Period.
>>
>>14331697
They used to be, but the owner of Motorex got balls deep into debt from giving maid cafe hostesses free cars and such, fell behind on the due dates, released the cars without the proper modifications, and prompted government agencies to cover their asses and just flat out destroy the cars and banned their imports.
>>
>>14331697
1. The car must be 25 years or older to the month of manufacture. This means that a R32 built in September of 1989 will be legal in September of 2014.

2. The car must be in its original, unmodified condition at the time of importation to be legal under the EPA's standards. See the block labeled "Code E" on this importation form for the source
>http://www.epa.gov/otaq/imports/documents/3520-1.pdf

The only Skylines that are currently legal to import are GTS & GT-R models manufactured between January 1, 1996 and June 30, 1998
>http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/elig010807.pdf)

and only through a Registered Importer with modifications to the car
>http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/NHTSA-update.pdf

done by the RI to meet NHTSA standards. Currently the only RI that has the tech to do these modifications is JK Technologies (they have the only equipment and technology to install an OBDII system into a R33)

There are two models of Skylines that are currently eligible to import under the show and display law
>http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/ShoworDisplayApprovedVehiclesMay2013.xlsx

which are

1990 Nismo R32 GT-R
>http://www.showordisplay.com/2012/12/1990-nissan-nismo-skyline-r32-gt-r.html

1999 R34 GT-R V-SPEC Early Model Limited Edition
>http://www.showordisplay.com/2012/10/1999-nissan-skyline-gtr-r34-v-spec.html

Both of these are very hard to find cars, and if you are lucky enough to find and import one, you are limited to 2,500 miles of use annually
