Do you love driving your current car?
Why or why not?
>>
No, because it's an econobox.
>>
>>14248725

Yep. Decent power, decent mileage, comfortable seats, decent stereo, great heater, parts are cheap. Just what you need in a work beater.

Yes, it's treated me amazing and is fun to drive. Despite the hate I get for it, it makes me breddy happy
>>
>>14248745
Jesus, man, if you're gonna take a photo at least make sure there's air in your tyres.

The truck is nice in the winter. It's nice not having to worry about being able to get out of my own driveway or road. I wish I had a single cab and a longer bed though, but I wouldn't give up the 7.3

I LOVE driving my fiero. The only other sporty things I drive are bikes, so my opinion isn't well versed. Even though it's the i4 you feel like you are flying. Not to sure how good the handling actually is, but even slow corners feel fun. Not sure if it is the lack of powersteering or if it is because it is a mid engine, but turning just feels so satisfying in this car.

>tfw your toy is slower than your DD
>>
>>14248745
Nice. My friend scrapes all of his rice on my dirt road when he comes over. He wants to go lower, but I might have to start picking him up if he ever wants to come over again.
>>
>>14248725

Isn't that the guy (in the op's picture) who fell in love with his shit-box and was sexually attracted to it on TLC?

I don't love it but I enjoy feeling everything 10x stronger than some of you guys, who drive newer econoboxes.

Another thing I like about my truck. I end up pulling a lot of people out of ditches during the winter. Easy money for hardly any effort. I don't ask for money when I do it, but everyone ends up giving me something in return.
>>
Somewhat, it's fun when you really, really push it but pretty crap to drive normally. Coming from a Hyundai Accent MVi (second gen) with it's 101hp, it's somehow less fun.

Saab 9-5 Aero automatic btw

I used to.
I loved everything about it.
I would go driving for hours on end with no destination in mind.
Then things started to go wrong.
I didn't care, I paid to fix them because I loved it.
Over the years more things went wrong.
Expensive things.
Things that made me go weeks or months driving a borrowed car while saving to fix it.
The love started to fade.
Trust began to wane.
Will it get me from A to B?
There are always new noises, things that make me panic.
I will never sell it, but I've grown to resent it.
I dread the next repair bill that will keep me from being able to afford a more reliable second car.
It could have died a hero, but it's lived long enough to become the villain.

Definitely a pure driving experience. Tranny is very notchy...make any mistakes and the awd will not let you forget it. Love? Yeah, but its jaded love.

Absolutely. She's been good to me for the 2 1/2 years I've owned her. Never left me stranded except for when the optispark killed itself and the transmission pissed itself last week.

she hates winters but somehow I haven't even touched a curb, even on 30% tread all seasons.. Sometimes I can't stop for stop signs, though, I'll just roll backwards or get stuck kek.

Yea its alright. Argos are weird as fuck.

The pedals are up by the headlights, and really close together so heel-toe is all but impossible for anyone with size 9 or larger shoes. But it drives well.
>>
It's a '92 Daihatsu Feroza so on roads it's pretty boring but it shines off the beaten track and was a great car to learn manual driving in. Plus it's my first car so I'll probably miss it a bit when I sell it.
>>
>>14248725
New Toyota Corolla.
No

It's got all the comforts, bells and w histles i'm not going to lie HOWEVER,

parents bought the thing for them at an extremely high APR due to shit credit and overpriced too.

So a few months down the road they decide they don't want the fucking thing and give it to me since i have no car. Now i'm stuck making $500+ car payment PLUS ~$200 dollar insurance payment a month.

half my fucking monthly income goes towards that piece of shit. all i wanted was a used 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

Fuck you, parents you dumb motherfuckers.
>>
>>14253779
Maybe you shouldn't be a bitch and tell them you don't want their shit car and car payments?
>>14248725
Yes, my car is fucking awesome. I spent six months looking for the right one and am glad I did. Only dislike is the electronic throttle but that is something every new car sadly.
>>
>>14248725
No

It's a hyundai elantra.. Self explanatory.
>>
>>14248725
I made a huge mistake and bought an autotragic.
>>
>>14253839
To expand; it's a nice reliable car but it's just a family sedan I use for driving to work and back in a city full of gooks that run red lights, never signal, blow stop signs, go the speed limit in the left lane, etc.

Fuck I hate asians.
>>
>>14253821
I wish it were that easy.

at this point i need the fucking thing to get to work.
I dont have any saved money due to half my income going towards the car and have no credit in my name.

They trapped me in the vicious poverty cycle.

i'm destined to be poor like those dumb fucks for the next 5 years, then i can start building my life properly.

Sell the car and ride a $500 moped. A few months in and you'll be afloat. You don't need a car buddy. Accept the inconvenience for a while or be destined to be a retard like your parents.
>>
>>14253885
Why would you take the car in the first place then you ding dong?

Maybe get a higher paying job if you're only pulling $1400/mth
>>
>>14253945
i'm pulling in closer to 2k before taxes so about 17-1800/month.

still have other expenses though, the car isn't even in my name nor is the loan. i'll give it a few months and tell them to go fuck themselves. need to figure out how.
>>
>>14253957
what kind of a cuck are you? tell your parents to fuck off for christs sake.
>>
>>14253972
as much as i hate their idiotic fucking financial planning. i don't want bad blood with them.
>>
>>14253985
What bad blood? They bought the car; it's their burden not yours. If they don't understand that then maybe you're better off without them.

Broke off contact with my fucker dad after he tried similar shit. Don't be a pussy.
>>
>>14253985
brah how is saying i can't afford to pay for your debts bad blood? if this causes an issue your parents are faggots and ur better off without them.
>>

Love it since it's my first car and only car I own. 6 cylinders in a straight configuration, okay power but A/C sucks when heating up, automatic, broken ebrake cable, rusted hood release cable where the hood pops every time I drive and battery dies out after letting it sit for a week.
>>14253903
I want a trade, I want a turbo brick so badly ;_;
>>
I enjoy driving my car but I also feel guilty driving it. It's really too nice of a car for me. I only drive back and forth to work and any old shit box would be just fine. I don't like making car payments and having to carry full coverage on it because it's a pretty expensive car is sort of dumb on my part. I guess I'm worried that if I lost my job or if I got sick or something, I would probably lose the car. I really wanted it when I bought it, but I started having buyers remorse a few months later. The payments aren't crazy or anything like that and I bought it used at a pretty good price, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm wasting money for no good reason. Maybe I'm just over the whole car loving thing? I don't really know how to explain it.
>>
>>14252379

I like that truck in the background
>>
>>14253282
Would you not trade it for the superior car on the left?
>>
>>14254197
Fuck no. That challenger is a V6 auto, and I don't like nigger wheels or burnt orange. I'm swapping it with a WRX engine soon so my car will be faster anyway.
>>
>>14254221
Have you got a new engine yet or 2-4k?
>>
>>14254264
Almost there, got 1500 saved but I'm waiting for my next paychecks for the wiring harness merge, crossmember, fuel pump, and ecu. I don't have much space in my garage so I need to get most of it at once. Don't have space to store an engine for too long.
>>
>>14254300
Wow OK, so you actually have it sorted out.
9/10 impreza/legacy drivers I meet and talk to about cars always say "Yeah bro, gunna swap in a WRX engine" and neither have the skills, intelligence or financial capacity to do so

Spot on to you though. Go hard

Plenty of power for DD'ing here, the ride is very nice, stereo is good, RWD for a fun little skid or two, automatic works perfectly and is smooth... it works perfectly for what I'm using the car for now, but when I move back to my hometown its getting replaced with a more capable car for the tougher winters, towing & more space for gear
