you just need few simple mods:
swap v6 fror v8
and autotragic for manual
or
weld your front brakes
>>
>>14238890
>>14238918

What this anon said. Also the V6 Mustang is notoriously known for building up carbon deposits in the engine which will kill performance and economy. To fix this it is recommended to add a cap or two full of bleach to the engine every 2 weeks.

*Gas tank :^)
>>
Rev it up in N
Throw it in D
Burnout like Ken Block
>>
>>14238928
Eh good one, I don't want to pay more for a v8 and I've never driven stick though.
>>
>>14239022
get a v8 man, a v6 mustang is a secretary car. If you like the styling you can get a 1994 or 1995 stang on craigslist for cheap and that is a fast fucking car.
>>
>>14239022
It's actually easier to do a stationary burnout with an auto, he's just memeing.
>>
>>14239030
He drives underpowered FWD commiebox.
I know I'm him.

Stock they're actually pretty slow. They do transform in feel with bolt-ons and gears though which most used Mustangs will already have.

The v6 has enough usable power for the real world, go away engine whore.

Those are the 5.0s. Pretty good potential there. Once they turn to the 2v modular they're pretty crappy tho

But in reality anon...the 4.0 v6 is a turd and a half. The 4.6 3v barely had the grunt in these cars but it's there. Save for the v8... they're much nicer and you'll really really be happy you did in the end. Trust me, especially if you're interested in cars in any way. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't

I know '95 was the last year of the 302 in the Mustang, my brother owned one. Stock for stock a '96 will pace a '94 GT. Both run 15 flat stock., my point still stands that stock jellybean GTs aren't that fast. Let alone "fast as fuck"

Wut

at least just get a fucking manual
you'll learn it in a day

Even though obvious b8 is obvious..
>buying a pre-2011 V6 Mustang
>i shiggy diggy hope ya don't

I know most people bash the V6 no matter what, but honestly after 2011 when they pushed them up from a heavy cast iron 210 hp engine to the lighter aluminum block with 305 hp, I just can't see anything inherently bad about choosing the 2011+ V6 if you don't have an extra $6-8k to spend just for the V8.

Now choosing an automatic on the other hand.. for shame, anon. For shame.
>>
I had an 07 v6 automatic, fine enough for a daily driver that won't try and kill you but I wouldn't try and show off in it really and definitely wouldn't recommend fast corners with stock suspension.
>>
>>14240404

Buying a mustang that is not a v8 is lame beyond words.

You will regret it, and people will laugh at you.
>>
>>14243028
>>14244227
The V6 Mustang was the quickest car you could buy for under 20k in it's day.

>b-b-but it's not as fast as a '11+ that costs twice as much
Bolt ons and gears really wake the 4.0L up, there's also bolt on supercharger kits from for even more power.
>>
>>14244633
It's not bad, but the problem is that you could probably just get a V8 for the same or even less than supercharging a V6
>>
>>14238890
>hi guys I'm buying a sports car with an auto transmission, please point me to your nearest dick so I may suck it

The new Mustang has a button for burnouting so casuals can burnout too now.

>>14244790
Ha ha yes... i've done it and frs was hanging with me. V6 mustang could never even stay one car length with me multiple times this guy wouldn't give up. I have rsx-s by the way and it aint fast since 2006
>>
>>14244832
And they'll laugh just as hard if you're in a V6 Mustang, difference is the Si is actually quick compared the the 'stang

You honestly shouldn't be caring about what people think, most of the time they don't really give a shit

New anon here.

I'm glad OP brought this up. Last time I tried to start a thread similar to this I got warned for some reason, even though I didn't do anything wrong to my understanding, just asked advice on whether or not I should by a car, and posted a google image of one.

anyway. i too want to buy a mustang. Preferably something 2002 or newer. Stick shift for sure. I'll spend about 3-4k.

my concern is the reliability and the cost maintenance. it will be my daily driver. thankfully i work from home though so we're not talking a lot of driving anyway. mostly to fun stuff and shop.

you are describing yourself.

>>

>>
>>14243294
Is it just me or do I sense a bit of hostility in that comment? I was just noting something Man, not arguing with you.
>>
>>14238890
You have to install line lockers on the rear brakes so you dont destroy your engine on the brakes and bobs your uncle.

Just brake and accelerator and yay burnouts.
>>
>>14244042
Why don't Mustangs use the Ford Falcons 4 litre inline 6... they are 230kw... and that is without a turbo...
>>
>>14246042
The aussie engine was designed using metric while Mustangs are built using imperial units, so they're incompatible.

Also when shipping to america the engines come upside down, and the labor costs to right them up for american use make it not profitable.
>>
> it has to be the top model to be good
I'm sure it can do burnouts. The v6 stang is a benchmark for cheap performance on this board. Aka

> slower than a mustang v6
>>
>>14246066
I thought minivans took that spot nowadays.
>slower than a minivan
>>
>>14246061
So basically because America holds onto the metric system because the ship with the metric weights and what not back in the 1900's sank on its way there, you guys are stuck with shitty inferior engines.

Good job?
>>
>>14246091
thx you 2
>>
>>14246082
Minivans put down some crazy numbers now days though
>>
>>14246066
Pre-11 Mustang V6s are slow as dogshit.
>>
>>14246178
Really? They seem alright to me.
>>
>>14247596
They're faster than BB6 ludes and as quick as a K20 Si in the quarter stock. They're not as slow as everyone is making them out to be. They're way faster than '05-'09 Camaros too ;-)
