ITT: Future classics

In 30 years, it's going to be damn near impossible to find a clean one.

It already is impossible to find a clean one with no mods

Don't worry anon. None of their engines will last more than 10 years anyway.

With the way the majority of modded cars end up we wont have any left. Too much corner cutting, too much half assed builds, too much "i dont give a fuck unless i can skid". Pretty much if you want to have a future classic you needed one 5 years ago because its already pretty fucking scarce. Personally ill pick up a few s13s and hope i can find a legit 180sx that i can garage until im 50, because god knows there wont be parts for any of these. Now im sad

Muscle cars went through the same shit, the numbers have to be cut down in order to for the survivors to appreciate.
Honestly though, I feel like the collector car market is one huge speculative market that is waiting to crash.

Miatas are appreciating? aren't they the best selling sports car on the face of the earth? (which makes them the most common) couldn't you build a giant death star out of them destroy it and still have a lot left over?

Goo-net-exchange had these prices, which are mostly between 10k and 20k USD. Would these be 30k with shipping prices? I've never imported before and wanted to get one of these since they're legal in Canada now.

Denial of what exactly? Most cars listed are old as it is and are not yet classics. Despite this, you think a car that came out a 2 years ago will be a classic. I don't think you understand what a classic car is, and no being 25 years old isn't the only requirement.

They're suppose to end in 2017.

On one hand, it's sad to see the biggest middle finger to modern automaking go. On the other, I'm glad it ended on a strong note. The last gen went out with a bang.

You are in denial that the 86 is popular, has a healthy aftermarket therefore ensuring a long shelf life, and that they are being purchased and destroyed by young people. Just because you don't like it doesn't make any of those things not true.

>>

You forgot the E46 M3. Although there are a shit ton of them compared to the E39 M5 (supposedly there are less than 10,000 M5s in the US) it's also the last naturally aspirated inline 6 M3 that will ever be made.

>impossible to find a clean one

The problem is that as soon as that "clean one" is bought the owner will immediately ruin it with shitty mods. But they don't think said mods are shitty, because those are "their" mods.

It's only "tasteful" to you.

I remember reading a comparison between a couple mid nineties classics a few years ago where they miraculously managed to find someone with an unmodified Supra. Which the owner had just bought and said he'd be fucking up almost immediately after the magazine's tests.
