I don't know shit about motorsports aside from Nascar and F1, what other series are worth watching?
MotoGP, WRC, Indy, Formula e, and GP2 are all good fun. Indy can be a bit long winded at times but if you watch NASCAR that shouldn't be a problem.

Everytime someone tries to compare them... just don't fall for the bait.
F1 is clearly more focussed on time attack than NASCAR is. What I mean by that, is that it is very important in F1 to always drive the best times per lap and get the maximum out of the car by e.g. having the right tires and having the right setting for the car on each track (that's what the three practices are for).
For me, NASCAR is pure racing. Less rules and politics. The foundation is just too different.

Well it cost way too much and wasnt giving enough back in return. The technology in the 90s developed really fast really hard, but nowadays it just costs too much to be even considered in a production car so it's not as beneficial for manufacturers,
