All of them seem to be hard to find and over priced. I can get the van (not the truck version) for like $9k in shit shape. Then it would be probably $15-$20k to make it good again.

These don't look so bad with such a short bed. The cab is small and not overly truck-like, which works in its favor. The Explorer Sport-Trac looks terrible, IMO.

Wouldn't say so. I don't hate FCA like a lot of /o/ does (though I understand the hate, and lean ever towards the hate).
I just like having a variety of vehicles. There are no compact trucks anymore. Even the smaller pickups have been upsized and are now all Mid-Sized. The new Colorado is damn big. And the new Tacomas are hardly smaller than the 1st gen Tundras.

This is true. But that's why a variety is good. Not everyone needs a backseat at all or one that needs to comfortably fit adults. Rarely do I have passengers, and even less often do I have more than 1. My fold down seats in the rear offer seating space when needed but when not, the space in the rear is nice for things I don't want in the bed.
