If you don't have previous pedigree with Ferrari, you likely won't get a car for a long time. The cars get allocations based on customers previous buying history, the better the pedigree the sooner you get the car. Also dealer allocations are limited, so whatever dealership you buy from might speed or slow your delivery.
You can still get one second hand, but you'd be paying WAY over list from a broker who got it second hand, which is stupid. The great thing when you can get them is that driving the first year you don't take much of a hit on them depreciation wise since people can't get them.

Ferrari has great branding but their technical marketing is always a little rough. Can be hard to find good info, but they produce a beautiful magazine for customers and do some great hard cover books they send to dealers and good customers when new cars come out.

Yeah.. Sometimes the ones with less options end up looking better in my experience. Saw a blue 458 the other day, that nice metallic they have, with a tan interior and Daytona seats. I've driven nearly every Ferrari manufactured after 1980 including nearly every rare run (Barchetta, SuperAmerica, 16M, 458 Speciale, Challenge cars) and all the newest ones. Oldest lamborghini I've driven was a 10 gallardo 550-2 and it had some character but you couldn't get around how VAG it is. The Aventador is just dreadful as a drivers car. Its just a party trick with awd. Huracan is pretty serious when its in Race mode but in Strada or Sport, its just completely unresponsive. And I'm sorry, flipping those doors up feels so good. When you nudge it with your elbow and it slides up at the perfect speed and you throw a leg out trying not to smile because you feel so cool.

Im 5'6" so my foot doesn't touch the ground until I push myself off the seat. I drove an i8 and the carbon tub comes up a good 4" above the doorframe which is 3" above the seat. It's proper comedy watching tall people try to fold themselves into trying to go feet first. There's literally one correct way to get in. Sit ass first on the tub and slide backwards intp the seat and then swing your legs in. Its nearly impossible for fat people. Cool doors on the bimmer too.
Funny story about it.
