direct vs port injection vs carbs

Holy shit are you a time traveler?
>>
Direct + port injection. Ask Toyota.
Or Subaru since Toyota taught them
>>
>>14186823
port injection is best. direct injection complicates the engine a lot for a small gain.
>>
>>14186896
Same argument people give for efi vs carbs or dohc vs pushrods.
>>
Port injection keeps the intake ports and valves clean.

Nippon steel #1

Carbs are stupid, port injection wins outright.

On port vs direct, direct injection gives you highest efficiency and performance, but it'll come at an increased maintenance cost.

so what, in this case it's true :) EFI and dual overhead cams don't break or need maintenance. It's just a higher initial cost or a better design. This is not the case with direct injection. If it were, it would be better.

Wait, that would mean he took direct injection back to the 1940's. Carbs would just make him fucking old.

You eliminate the need for intake valves in di how would it make it more complicated?
>>
>>14190692
No.. you still need intake valves in order to take in air
>>
>>14190679
This is such a poorly drawn diagram. Impossible to make shit out.

>Gen Coupe does
Why?

>>14190755
what is unclear ?
I get the feeling you have not seen many diagrams
>>
>>14190698
direct air injection
now you only need exhaust valves
>>
>>14190919
All the random mesh lines for one that are completely unnecessary.
