It is a good car that is underrated by BMW faggots.
It's faster than Coupe and Sedan model because it much lighter. And if you hate the front of it you can just replace it with the sedan/coupe front.
I like it a lot, the more i look at it the better it becomes.
Not to mention awesome interior.

used to own an E36 compact, great little car. My favourite thing about it is how BMW went abuot making them. Could've just taken a coupe and reversed it into a wall till the boot was gone, instead it seems they decided to make every part of the car 3/4 inch shorter than all other models. As I found out while trying to put in my arm rest centre console from a coupe

Yes but i think that E36 was made in every way different, while the E46 Compact is basically the same inside as any other E46
In all honestly, it looks disgusting, but i'm sure it drives like any other BMW of the era.

I'm sure I remember someone saying the compacts had massively downgraded rear suspension relative to other 3ers. I think it was just some fag on here though, so there might not be anything in it.
Aside from that, I very much like the idea of them. I imagine they're a lot of fun.
Something about those headlights reminds me of a Fiat Multipla.

This. The E36 Compact dashboards also seemed like slightly modified E30 dashboards. Honestly the only original E36 design about the compact was the front end, everything else seems to have specially designed just for it.

Cousin got one and I've driven it a few times. Ugly car but it's a nice enough drive, if anything better to similar BMWs.
