So /o/ is full of autistic bench racers and we constantly have threads where we post our shitboxes. How about we combine bench racing with posting our shitboxes? Here is what I have in mind:

1. Post your shitbox(es).
2. While posting your shitboxes think up a category for it to compete in and post the most important specs about your car for that category.
3. When we have at least 3 cars competing in same category let's leave it to /o/'s autistic bench racers to decide who has the best and/or worst cars in that category.
4. If this catches on let's think up some bullshit prices for the winners.

I'll start by registering my 1993 N/A SW20 to compete in the reverse sleeper category. While it may look fast for someone who doesn't know shit about cars it only has about 156hp with no practical ways to get more power apart from turbocharging or engine swaps (which both cost much more than the car itself) and since it has the 93+ suspension and doesn't have LSD it also handles like shit. However I have fixed the god awful stock wheel alignment settings so it doesn't handle as bad as it used to so it could lose to another SW20 that still has the stock wheel alignment settings.
>>
>5S-FE
>156hp

nah
>>
Also the LSD on the turbo is a VLSD so by now pretty much none of them do anything so don't feel too bad.

We had a bench racing tournament early last year

>post your cars and mawds
>put them in random brackets
>strawpoll vote on each bracket
>each bracket gets more exciting
I can't remember who won though

Non-American N/A SW20a come with 3S-GE engine and said engine produces 150 to 170 hp depending on the year it's made.

All stock, 6 speed, independent suspension, roughly 200 bhp. Missing lip of front bumper, a previous owner must have gone off the road.

Category is obviously hatch shitboxes.

These articles suggests that my 1988 Mercedes Benz 300E qualifies for the best all-around car made in the last 30 years category but I think entering it in 80s luxobarge category suits this thread better.

As for specs:
3 liter M103 engine with 5 speed manuel transmission
Power: 188 hp
Torque: 260 Nm / 192 lb-ft
Curb weight: 1390 kg / 3064 lb
Handles surprisingly well under spirited driving.

Category is NA 4BBL foxbody Capris with HO 5.0 swaps, cammed with roller rockers, shorty headers and catless Flowmaster true duals

Because that's what you're going to have in this thread. 100 shitboxes, 100 categories.

You have a point there, I wonder how long it is going to take to finally get 3 somewhat similar shitboxes to compete against each other in the same category?
>>
>>14184146
well if everybody drives some custom motor swapped thing yeah.

It would seem like a safe assumption that most people drive more typical examples of cars. I tried to be easy, small hatchbacks are everywhere.

I think >>14183750 and >>14183998 are similar enough to pit against each other. All we need is a third car and slightly altered category for them to compete in. I'm sure someone here has a late 80s or early 90s BMW that fits the bill?

I'll compete with reverse sleepers.

Here's an old one before I installed the spray. Carb air cleaner also changed because the geometry for my kickdown linkage changed and was hitting the pie plate. Need to take some new pics, but it is covered. I do post in CCG. This was taken right before I swapped the carb and did the 6AL install for rev limiting. Used 440source Max ported stealth heads and NOS factory valve covers for a stock look. Carb is a single 850 CFM Holley XP series with mechanical secondaries (easier to control the fuel mixture during tuning for spray as compared to a VA secondary as my cam doesn't make great vacuum at idle.

1984 fiero with a 3800 supercharged swap. 4 speed auto tragic included.
Supposedly makes 240-260hp and a little more torque.
Category: dollar to speed ratio. I paid 500 amerilard burger bills for it.
Also shitbox because I snapped both axles in the first few weeks of driving it and the swap was done by the brightest retard in history.

This says 225 for OP's model year though that figure's probably for the Turbo version. The lowest figure in the chart is still 185 though.

I don't have a pic so I'll post my dog.

04 base model Ranger, lowered 3 inches with sportier suspension and poly bushings. 235/55r17 wheels and Goodyear RS-A tires. With a "cold air intake," 2-chambered muffler kicked out the side of the passenger door I am ready for a 24 hour endurance race.

Trust me brah, see me at Silverstone.

My '97 Subaru Legacy GT would compete in the "late 90's Japanese station wagon" category.

Only mods are the WRX swapped struts and sway bars, a short shifter and an exhaust off a WRX. Currently on winter tires for dat grip. Snowboard racks add downforce yo.

Power: 165 hp
Torque: 165 ftlbs
Weight: 3,100 lbs
Drive: AWD
Weight distribution: 55F/45R

Wait, we actually have enough participants in the reverse sleeper category meaning we can start bench racing?

Let's see here, OP might have power advantage over the other two but mk2 MR2s are overweight so that might negate the power advantage a bit and hurt him in corners. On the other hand MR layout is better at putting whatever power it has down and always has higher cornering potential compared to other drivetrains provided it's driven by semi-decent driver so I think his car might still be the fastest out of the 3. However given that the category is reverse sleepers doesn't that mean he lost? Now I'm not sure how >>14184591 vs >>14186740 is going to end up, what do you guys think?
