Dear /o/,

I drive a 2008 Chevy Impala ls. I want to upgrade my current headlights to something more effective. I am running HID bulbs and ballasts but they seem to only offer slightly better vision at night then my old bulbs at the cost of reliability for I seem to have to replace either a bulb or ballast at least once a year. My headlight housing is in need to replacement if I want to do anything that is not my HID bulbs.
I am currently using my HID's without dedicated projectors and instead being just the typical Impala housings.
Does /o/ have any suggestions for possible headlight upgrades? I am super out of the game so any suggestions would be appreciated.
