Imagine a Racing Series of the future. The technology can either be present day or speculative. For example, the cars could still be combustion-powered and made with highly lightweight bodies, or hover vehicles capable of speeds in excess of 300 mph.
Also try to imagine some course layouts, a typical car or vehicle in such an event, and some rules, possibly including a scoring system.
This thread is just meant to encourage some creativity.
Racing in the future will pretty much just be Formula E but actually fast.

A true "Unlimited" class. You buy a car off the lot, you do anything you can afford to it, the track is announced 24 hours prior to qualifying.
WEC GTE goes back to being the GT1 class and GTE is an electric sports car class. It's basically GT3, with Pro, ProAm, etc. The cars are built in such a way where the battery can be safely and quickly replaced and put to be charged, while a back up battery is put in, rather than just using multiple cars. Hybrid cars are illegal in the class.
A full size RC kind of series using autonomous cars, where teams must program their cars to go around a track as fast as possible. Speeds would be very quick with full-size untraditional looking cars due to not needing a driver. Tracks would have to remade or new ones built to accommodate these cars.
A NASCAR style series that harkens back to the '10s with tradional cars. The cars are legitimately stock, modified to race spec. The series would race on a similar tracks, but with more short tracks and road courses thrown in

We pretty much just need WTAC regulations in a racing series, but probably more restriction on the engines to level out the playing field.

solenoid actuated valves on DOHC v4s, superconducting superconducting motors and variable tunnel turbos are gonna be the future.
active aero on the diffuser and side vanes, variable stiffness suspension in realtime, and detachable cockpits like in speed boats if the ride is engulfed into flames.
