What does /o/ think about the new TVR.

I give it a clownshoe/10

Why do they even bother putting tires on their cars anymore?

Will it be badly built and try to kill the driver again?

>Cosworth V8

So very want. I fear ABS and ESP though.

Is it barebones and dangerous?
>>
>>14152881
And DCT of course. Oh god no.
>>
>>14152876
Pretty sure that's just a render.

>>14152901
Maybe as an option, but no way it'd be mandatory. You only need to read a few of the new CEO's interviews to realise that isn't the direction they want to take things.

>>14152881
This, alas, is more likely, if only because regulations are going to demand it in many, if not most, key markets.

TreVoR is dead on arrival.
>>
>>14152929
Surprisingly, I can legally drive an LHD TVR (Tuscan, Sagaris, etc..) here in Germany. TÜV is pretty butthurt abut shit like this nowdays and we have no kit-car regulation thing.
>>
>>14152945
I'm pretty sure you can also legally drive a RHD TVR, German law makes no statement about the steering wheel position.

And kit cars are possible to build, it's just become harder than a few decades ago. The kit must have a type approval for Germany, the other option is to build a completely one-off car from the ground up and registering it according to StVZO §21 in which case it doesn't need to adhere to crash standards, only carry the mandated equipment.
>>
>>14152969 I'm pretty sure you can also legally drive a RHD TVR

Yeah, of course. I meant it more to say that the non-safe TVRs have long been at least European marketed, not just UK and through trickery someplaces else.

I didn't know the first bit about kit cars.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

No, he's asking for it to do that.

>>14152939
That...sounds pretty nasty. Perfect for a TVR.
>>
>>14152855
It appears to have absolutely no wheel travel. Will it be stanced from the factory?
>>
>>14152881
I dunno about the rest of the world, but Australia requires all new cars to be sold with ESP and ABS.

It's not like you can't add a switch on the dash for 'ESP OFF' when you want to go hektik, though.

It's a design study, not the final product.

Was TVR Red Rose a Lancastrian pride thing? Because if so, there should totally have been an automotive War of the Roses by now.

Hello, /o/. I can't wait to lose millions of dollars in front of all of you.

Enjoy Spyker 3.0.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zudP7Z_BzUU

I'm going to be living out of a box by the end of this.
>>
>>14153075
Spyker's going strong again. They were never downright broke and out of business.
>>
>>14153142

Define going strong. I hightly doubt they've built as much as a single car since 2012.
>>
>>14153053
I hope so. It just lets us rub it in their faces even more.

Starting today, it is, and I'm going to show this video to my yorkshitman dad

looks like a crossfire that was pinched a bit

aside from that it looks good, front looks a bit fragile
>>
looks good apart from no i6 which sound better imho

v8 will shit over it in terms of power, packaging, f/r weight bias and packaging though.

Although

>>
>>14152855
The render looks shit as always because of ridiculous donk wheels and stance nation wheel gaps.
If it weighs under 1250kg and has >350hp I will be all over it though.
>>
>>14156509
It'll have between 450 and 500hp. And as the video above stated, they (Cosworth) gained more torque than they expected.

Why did you post a v6 S197?
>>
>>14152855
It looks good. Not too sure about them wheels though but it's concept art so they'll most likely change. Glad to see TVR finally back. They were never reliable or even that good handling wise but there's something about them that makes me love them.
>>
>>14152892

It actually looks like they moved up a notch in the class department.

...a grown up tvr.. Who would have figured.

Maybe those are side exhausts.

I really want a TVR in my life

I like how they constantly want to kill you
>>
>>14157038
Of course these are side exhausts. This is TVR we are talking about.
>>
>When settling on the specification for the all-new TVR we had certain essential criteria in mind.
>The new car had to be:
>British in every way
>True to TVR’s DNA and heritage
>V8, front-engined with manual transmission & rear wheel drive
>A two seat coupe/convertible
>Breathtaking in appearance and performance
>Incredible value for money

From the website. Abs and esp/tcs will be in there probably, but I hope that everything apart from they will be switchable, for that near death experience. Also I hope the V8 is a proper high rev one, and not a lazy 6000 rpm one. One that would make the GT350 V8 jealous.

>>
>>14157468
Lots of torque, they say. Sounds like it'd to max 8k, maybe 7500.
>>
>>14156903
yeah. It will never have that slim sheet of whatever it will be made of atop the wheel. It look like it's a couple of centimeters from being an open wheel.
>>
>>14157508
I don't think it's even a concept. Pretty sure that's just a third party render, probably by some magazine or other. The car won't necessarily look anything like that.
>>
>>14157517
It's a render released by TVR themselves. Gordon Murray is designing the carbon chassis.

Everything sounds perfect, so far.
>>
>>14157525
Fair enough. Certainly looks sufficiently TVR.
>>
>>14152855
just saw one passing down my street... was going really slow but omg that sound
>>
>>14157525
i don't think they're using iStream carbon (pictured) it's the older steel revision.
>>
TVR a best
