How do you guys take off, do you rev and dump? I like to release the clutch till it catches, hit the gas, then release it all the way and go about my business.

As a Mercedes Mechanic,
I like it when it moves,
I dislike it when it doesn't.
Gas first, I used to use that method but I kept stalling
Just let the clutch out? What is torque?

Something my shitbox doesn't have.
bring revs up a few hundred above idle, smoothly release clutch
Shift to D. Push throttle.

Not having two balls and driving manual trans.

Guess who's compensating? Pic related, it's you.

I can drive a manual, friend. I do it on a daily basis. In fact, I've never even owned a car with an auto transmission.
I however, am not an autist and realise that auto transmissions are extremely useful. Nor do I have a silly superiority complex about being able to press a clutch and move a stick around.
I press off of the clutch and give gas at the same time in one coordinated movement.

You went into a manual thread to blog about automatics, I'd say you're the insecure one

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is shitposting on the lowest level.

I'll put the gas a little ways in and slowly release the clutch and add more gas as needed before releasing the clutch entirely once I've got enough gas.
So I'll already be moving by the time I let off.
It is usually halfway depressed by the time that happens.
And if I'm shifting gears it doesn't really matter. I'll shift with clutch in, let the clutch out and then put the accelerator all the way down.
Sometimes I'll put my foot on the accelerator before I've put the clutch back in but not always.
I have no torque so I can't just let it out when starting from 1st (4 cylinder Ford Ranger with high gearing)
Let clutch out till it starts grabbing then one:1 until clutch isn't depressed.
Slight rev over idle and smooth off the clutch until its all grabbed up
