Post good car feels
>first time you downshift so smoothly you'd think the transmission was automatic
>that satisfying feeling when you spend hours wrenching on your car and when you go to start it everything works with no problems
>when you wash your car and stand back and admire how nice it looks
>when you're out driving late at night on country or mountain roads and there's no one in sight so you put down your windows, blast your tunes and floor it
>the warm embrace of the summer air as you drive down the mountain during sunset
>Small, usually busy roundabout near to my house
>Occasionally is empty
>Accelerate hard into it
>Trail brake throughout the turn (wrong wheel drive lol) and play on the limit of the squealing tires
>Feel the car rotate, perfectly balanced
>Straighten the car in the end to correct the mild oversteer
>HNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG
>when you clutch in and put the car in reverse and are met with the grinding of straight cut gears
>>14142261
>friends in car
>first in line at a stop light leading onto the highway
>light turns green
>fuck it. 0-60 run as fast as I can to get up to speed quickly despite the 1/2 mile of room before needing to get up to speed.
>8 seconds later
>"Is your car an automatic? Those were the smoothest gear changes I've ever felt."
>a full tank
>shift into 3rd
>car lugging
>floor it all the way to redline
>dat sound
>When you time your speed perfectly into the red light to keep your momentum as it turns green
>when you forget to put the clutch in and force the shifter into the next gear
>sequential shifting
>backing up in my catless suburban and smelling the sweet half burned gas like a race track
I can't be the only one that enjoys this, right?
>>14142261
> when you finish wrenching on your car
That fucking feel is like better than sex. When you fix a part that has been bugging you (e.g. Tune up. Warped rotors, rough idle, noisy shit etc) and when you go and try it out you fixed the problem first try.
>cute grill with her feet at the open wing window snugglin you because bench seat

At first i thought you were going to say your friends asked you
> why does your car roll back anon, Is something wrong with it?
>>14144746
There was this chick i used to give rides to for like a good year. One day i was talking to a friend and he asked about my car, if it was manual, i said yeah. The girl over heard and asked
> omg you drive a stickshift?
> "yeah dude I've given you rides??"
> i never noticed! I thought you were doing something else!

>>14144807
I agree with you too many sissy ass grandpas restoring old cars to their original configuration instead of driving them hard they sit at car shows half asleep
>>14144827

>>14144886
>wanting to slow down
>>14145344
>dying because a kid with a driver's permit enters the lane while you're hauling ass pretending to be Din Viesel in fast1
>buy shitbox for barely 4 digits
>spend one weekend on a full tune-up
>replace wear parts
>fix broken shit
>thorough clean inside and out
>Black Ice air freshner
>friends see it for the first time
>can't believe how old it is
>can't believe how cheap it was
>can't deal with how Fresh it is
>constantly tell me how "lucky" I was to "find it"
>when you fill all the way up and then manage to shake another dime or two worth of fuel out of the nozzle to get exactly to the next full Euro/Dollar because you're paying cash and don't want endless amounts of coin change
>>14142261
>so smoothly you'd think the transmission was automatic
So, an ungodly loud CLUNK, the car lurching forward, the engine racing for the redline, and suddenly lacking power when you wanted it?
>car mildly bunny-hopping during hard-accelerating gearchanges because it's powerful and just wants to go fast
Fucking love this shit.

>tfw gas stations in germany used to almost always drop the one cent when you got something like 68,01€ and payed cashed
>tfw they now nearly never do
Happened to me today.
>stuck behind an suv on the touge
>figure fuckit it's like 10 minutes till suburbia and just sit behind him
>all four people in the suv keep looking back as the driver tries to pull away
>go full recliner mode with chair and stick to their bumper one handed
>doing a delivery
>all lights turn green
>no traffic on your lane
>finish delivery in near impossible record time
>that 1st drive after getting a brand new windscreen put on.
i imagine thats what it feels like when some one puts on their glasses.
>beating Google Maps (traffic-less) travel time estimate without going over the speed limit
>anything on a motorcycle ever
