Op here, it will bog when I put on throttle, then at 2k I rev it and it seems to bypass whatever is limiting the revs. It got to 8k no problem running

Just did. When I got it, didn't run, clean carb, runs but revs at 4K

what are the spark plugs like? if you didn't put in new ones start there then run it for a bit and check them to see what's going on. it could be just getting too much fuel

Little more info, after I get it passed 4K I have tons of powa and revs like a champ

Along with all the other suggestions you should tune your carb it sounds like its idling in the wrong place or too much fuel is getting in which seems to be the case as it runs well at high rpm, either fucking tune it

Sounds like a fuel/air issue

Have you properly ajdusted the idle-needle and mixture-needle?

Have you checked so its not drawing air from anywhere but the intake?

I did the carbs and it seems solid- not sure how to adjust them tho... I'm just a cop
