You can have it completely rebuilt with 2 year warranty for $1500-$2500. Or you can look into fixing just the reverse gear.

Volvo's are pretty solid. I'd look for a sedan without a transmission about to die. Most of their inline 5's last a long time. Sucks about your stang. Good luck
