'15 Edge owner here. For what we were looking for, it fit the bill perfectly.
We had no need for a 3rd row, don't need it to tow, and wanted something a little bigger inside than our previous sedan (mostly for being able to load the baby and carry some stuff in the back when needed).
We got the 2.0 turbo. Power isn't great, but it's acceptable. Highway gas mileage is extremely good though, 30 mpg isn't hard to do at all.
I'd buy it again for what we needed, although I would've got the v6 TT, awd, and not got so many other options.
