i want to buy a land cruiser but all of the used ones i can afford have mileage over 70k, and most are over 100k. are they worth buying at all with mileage that high? i drive 15k+ miles a year

You can be poor or well-off and still be stupid regardless. For example, someone will buy an 07 toyota for 30k and think they got a deal. Someone else will pay 100k+ for a new toyota while being as fucktarded as the first guy. Psychology is a powerful thing, and these companies know that which is why they engineer the brand psychology way harder than the actual product they sell.
The worst thing that can happen to a landcruiser is neglect of the interior and basic maintenance. On top of that people taking it "off road" and causing damage to the undercarriage.
I looked at an 04 landcruiser with 100k miles, asking price was 8k which made it very tempting. The thing ran like a champ and noted no mechanical issues but the undercarriage told a different story. Bent exhaust, dents on frame and some sort of fresh undercoat which seemed as an attempt to hide rust. I passed on it and ended up buying a GX

I was hesitant because I off-road some and the newer land cruisers get lower and lower even with the new teeth aids
Wife wants the awesome interior though and I wouldn't mind either
She agreed that I should keep mine for off-roading and then we wouldn't have to factor it in
So now we will get a GX470!
