Audi doesn't compete with VW.
Audi is VW's premium brand, and they share a lot of the same components
In all actuality when you buy a Golf you're buying an A3 for the price of a Focus. The only compromise is the Audi design. Think of it like Acura and Honda's relationship except Audi was its own brand at one time and still has its own R&D which VW (the company, not the group) uses for its own vehicles. Most of the engine components used in the newer Golfs are branded Audi.
Not moving any goal posts here, just saying the Golf, compared to its rivals, is premium within that market class.
I don't know how else to say it so if you don't get it now you never will.

The Sierra was sold as the Merkur XR4Ti, or at least it was based on the 1st gen Ford Sierra XR4 we had. If I remember correctly, it had the same 2.3 litre Lima engine found in the Turbo Coupe Thunderbird and the turbo Mustang. The EU Sierra had mostly the pinto 4 pot engine that was more or less shit to be honest.
Might be talking shit out of my ass though, I don't really know my Fords that good, especially the US fords.

While it does have styling cues original to the iconic TA, unfortunately it also had to fit in with the design of the modern camaro since that is basically what the car is. I believe that is my problem with the car, I don't care for the new camaro with or without the TA body kit.
