are throttlebody spacers a meme? I don't see how this would do anything at all except pick your throttle body up an inch.

is there even any half assed science behind it
>>
it's got vortexes and shit so it mixed the fuel up bro. more power. it's science

should i put daily men's vitamins into my gas tank for more torque
>>
>>14137427
well technically it would increase the volume of air inside ur intake mainfold, so i guess it would make more power at low revs

its probably going to make like 1/4 hp more tho
>>
>not wrapping your throttle body in a Tommy Copper arm band and a magnet bracelet
>>
>>14137437
it's hard to wrap my mind around why volume of air would matter in the manifold when it's constantly moving forward, as long as there is no restriction which is assumed anyway
>>
I thought they were only effective with carburetors.
>>
If they added a lot more performance, efficiency, or any other magical benefit for being such a cheap and easy to install part then OEMs would be installing them from the factory.

my civic came stock with a 6 foot tall throttle body

fight me
>>
>>14137458
its weird but its the same reason why long intake runners make power at low rpm and short ones make power at high rpms
>>
as far as I can tell the only people that use it on my car are as a place to install a water/meth bung without drilling into the intake manifold
>>
>>14137488
i will have to read into that

>>14137491
that's pretty smart
