it's hard to wrap my mind around why volume of air would matter in the manifold when it's constantly moving forward, as long as there is no restriction which is assumed anyway

I thought they were only effective with carburetors.

If they added a lot more performance, efficiency, or any other magical benefit for being such a cheap and easy to install part then OEMs would be installing them from the factory.

as far as I can tell the only people that use it on my car are as a place to install a water/meth bung without drilling into the intake manifold
