I'll be going out tomorrow go look at some used cars. This will be my first cad purchase. I have a hard limit of 6000 USD. I've been looking at some Toyota yaris models, there are a few 09s with about 76000miles to 100000miles on them and was wondering what /o/ thinks? Right now I drive a scion xb 06 manual with 230000 miles on it.

a yaris is going to have a similar powertrain and feel to your first gen xb. it's going to be a bit smaller inside. the undisputed champion of the subcompact class in north america is the honda fit. see if you can find a fit.

Personally I'd look at a Honda Fit instead. Similar to the Yaris but has a significantly nicer interior. Yaris is a decent car but that dashboard literally looks like a playskool toy.

Pretty sure the automatic in the Yaris is a 4 speed while the manual is a 5 so the manual would have a considerable advantage in fuel economy and acceleration
