As with every car, there will be. Not to mention roadsters are one of the safest cars to buy used.
People often don't sell them because they want to get rid of a faulty piece of shit but because they need something more practical.

Always the better option. Cars with <50K are pretty much brand new without the massive loss in value that a typical new car experiences.

They are rather worth it to buy new, I think.
It's both the cheapest and best MX-5.
The amount of refinement in its engineering is pretty amazing. No other production car you can get remotely close to its price has the detail put into its chassis and suspension. None of them look anything like it when you look in the engine bay, or under it when it's lifted up.
