Alright fagg/o/ts, I need some help on which car to get.
My 335i has been crapping out on me recently, and like an nagging gf, its time to dump that bitch and get something different.
Problem is, I have exactly no idea what to get. Literally the only thing is that a 6'4" dude must be comfortable behind the wheel, and that it will be reliable (No more N54 bullshit for me).
So I've got a few in mind
2007 Cadillac Escalade (for the room, and I like that generation Escalade/tahoe/Denali)
2015 Toyota Camry XSE (they actually look pretty good and they are new with a warranty etc.)
Newest Subaru WRX i can buy (dont wanna be bench racer but a rally blue WRX gets me going)
2007ish Lexus LS460 (maximum comfy + V8)
2008ish MB S550 (maximum comfy + lots of legroom)
Budget is around 18k, maybe higher depending on how much I can get from some schmuck buying my car.

OP here, I have looked into Mustangs before, and I thought the interior quality of the 2014 and before was just not that great, even with the "premium" or whatever Ford calls it. The 2015 is much, much better imo, but I dont think I can afford a 2015 GT as a college student, maybe the 4 banger?

the warranty only applies to the wastegates and the waterpumps still fucking break in 2015. the fuel pumps are still breaking but are covered to 120k (lmao). injectors also crap out around 100k miles
there's also carbon buildup on the intake side from being a direct injection engine
face it these cars are fucking SHIT n54/n55 isn't made to go past 100k miles

How many times does this have to be proven wrong.. the wastegates are fine, the actuator needs adjustment. The water pumps are fine and the fuel pumps were fixed like 9 years ago. carbon build up is standard on any DI engine. See: mazdas blowing up at 10k miles. good thing carbon is easy to clean.

Fuel pumps are basic maintenance on every car. Fuel pumps for low power cars don't go bad as often because they're not under as much stress but either way I'd say replacing every 100k miles is the best way to be sure it won't fail out on the road.
It also helps if you keep up on other fuel system maintenance such as the fuel filter (easily the #1 cause of a failed fuel pump) which OP probably didn't do because he's retarded.

Actually bozos, OP is the one who modded his 335 to look like a chav with his lowering springs, wheels, tints, smoked tails, etc. I was referring to modding the engine, which OP did not do (because all he cares about is looking cool), which would have replaced essentially all of the stock failure points of his car with aftermarket alternatives. Aka larger turbos, higher capacity hpfp and injectors, etc. Make sense?
