What is /o/'s opinion on 4th gen mustangs or third gen foxbody? They've become pretty common in the past decade but i'm looking for something I can DD + have fun with on weekends.

F-body twins are better
both good cars. Owned both. Loved my '04 GT. Got better gas mileage than my Jetta and was still decently fun to drive.
Motors arent perfect but they aren't awful either.

Get a good condition GT and upgrade the internals along with a vortec supercharger or a Whipple.
Also 3.73 gears, improve the intake/exhaust.
Look at getting some good shocks and struts if you want to improve lolcantturn

OP here,
A friend of mine had a 95 z28 and said it treated him well up to about 175k miles. I'm not a huge fan of the interior though, it seems cheap and flimsy although the build of the car besides that is actually really good.

My buddy found one with only 32k on it with a blown engine that a coworker had, bought it for 9k and out another 5 in with rebuilding/install. He could still make a profit.
