The point of a car meet is to socialize with like-minded people. The surrounding area may not have the same interests that you do. If your exhaust noise was limited to wherever area you are in, I don't see a problem either... but it's not. There's probably some businesses or homes around you that don't appreciate the sound of engines revving.

Why on gods green earth would you risk your meet spot kicking you out or having the cops called on you just because you want to rev whatever shitbox with a loud exhaust you drive. What's worse is the downtrodden rhetoric regurgitated by self-important yahoos relating to stories they saw on their facebook feed from buzzfeed ... even though those stories are discredited rather quickly by those who actively try to improve the method. I smoked for 12 years before using e-cigarettes to quit, but ended up enjoying vaping so much that I continue buying new devices. I've never felt better and now work out daily where I used to cough my lungs out in the past. I can breathe again, food tastes way better and even started jogging.

Seems to me that more or less the common outcome. I started at around 16-17 too, turkish royals were the third I tried (first tried marbs, then camel filters, then royals) and ended up going between royals and filter wides for the next 6 years. Quit recently because I got diagnosed with acid reflux, had a sore throat for something like 3-4 months straight (still have it now) and they told me I was at risk for throat cancer due to the reflux + smoking. I miss it very, very much and plan on going back to smoking after the reflux clears up in another few months. No matter how fucking bad it is for you I feel like it's too good to quit entirely. There's been so many times when something shitty happened in the last few months and my first instinct was to reach for a smoke only to discover I'd quit ;_;

Yeah I know, but I don't think I can. The only thing keeping me from smoking at the moment is that my throat hurts like a bitch when I do it.
