Hey /o/. I was going to buy a 2008 Mustang GT for around $14,000. Then I started to look at the 2001 SVT Cobra. Performance wise, the Cobra crushes it with a DOHC 4.6L V8 over the SOHC 4.6L, and of course it has IRS. Personally I like the new edge SN95 more than the S197 better in terms of aesthetic as well. I know it's not factory supercharged as the '03/'04 is, but a good condition 2001 Cobra will only cost me about $12,000.. Is there something I am missing here? Are these things worth it?

But only at that area for low low miles in unmodified condition.
I'd get the supercharged model. Can't say I see the worth in the 2001 cobra. Other than the name and 4v.
In that regard, I'd get a Mach 1. Because you don't get the IRS, which has a bad aftermarket, and still the 4v.

Explain. How are the 99&01 cobras shit other than the lack of a factory supercharger? Because if it's only that, I can slap new heads, blower and forged internals on an 01 and still have spending money rather than buying an 03/04 which is more than 150% of the price of an 01.

I personally think the 99-01 bumper is better. It fits the lines of the rest of the front end and doesn't have the bulges for the fog lights that the termi has.
