Although i wont deny peformance wise theyre not bad, (hsv models atleast) theyre still not comparable to lets say, an lx torana with a 4.2litre v8 that only weighs about 1100-1200kg and has a nice short wheelbase

Have you ever been to a car show in this country? Last one I went to the Mustangs outnumbered our domestic offerings. I'm amazed how popular the car is despite the fact it was never sold here.
I will still be sad though. I was always proud of the local racing series and it's relationship with our domestic offerings.
