I have 1.5k spare i want a car that is just as fast as an M3 E46
I cannot afford an M3 obviously however i can afford an RX-8 but what other cars are there that are fast 0-60 / 0-100 and cheap?
80's and 90's camaros, mustangs, and the like.
Cheap to buy, slap a turbo/supercharger, and you're on your way.

if you want less than 7 secs get an e36 328i, strip the interior, get the M50 intake manifold, maybe a 68mm throttle body. 6 secs 0-60 easily and probably within 1500£. But still wont be near as fast as an e46 m3, it does a 0-60 in 4.7-4.8 secs, which I think is impossible to achieve for 1500 gbp lol
The stock RX8 is slow as fuck. Sorry to say.

the closest to a 330 would be a 328i or 328ci
an m50 intake manifold and some stripping and you`ll be getting around 6.5 secs

also get real. I had the same budget. my dad has a m3. i wanted something similar. In the end I got a mx5 nb. its fast enough and lowered I go round the round abouts as fast as i did in my dads m3.

If you look really hard, you can find an E38 750. It's going to be a maintenance bitch though, but the numbers are about right.

The reason they're so cheap is because the previous owner didn't know he was driving a rotary and fucked it sideways. Although a rotary rebuild is not expensive, insurance payments on an rx8 will open your anus wider than your fathers, which is saying something.
