I own a 2014 Audi A3, and a 1998 toyota corolla, but I always ALWAYS take the corolla whenever I need to go anywhere. I don't know why, but I love it to death, it's so fun to drive, no matter how slow it is. Why? Shouldn't the Audi be leagues more fun? I don't get it, /o/

>Audi
It could be that you have common sense that you aren't aware of and drive the hell out of the reliable car and leave the more fragile one at home until special occasions. That's what id do anyway if i had a combination of cars like that.
If you own a C5 vette and a Ferrari 575 don't take the ferrari out as much.
Just answering your question with my theory not trying to troll :^)
because it's an honest loyal companion, not an up-sold golf dreamt up by some marketing dept
OP here, I only take the audi out when I'm going to social occasions and gatherings with the girlfriend

That is good, you'll get the most out of your audi that way if you don't use it for tedious chores.

I feel the same way, I prefer my 1997 Vectra (FF GM shitbox for you gaijins) to 2005 330i. I don't know why, could be because of that simple and spartan interior (dat GM quality), electro-hydraulic steering, wind noise after 100kn/h, crank windows and bumpy suspension. I'll never get rid of that shitbox, cheap shitboxes are so fun, you can abuse them and they will never die.
I have a 2000 corolla 5 speed.
Boring as hell
If it didn't have a 5 speed, It would be unbearable

You're not shitboxing correctly

>I drive the beater to save wear and tear on the good car
Wow OP you have convinced me that the 98 toyota corolla is a fun car to drive with that certain "je ne sais qois", contrary to every testament from the past 3 decades. The Germans can't come close. I totally believe you OP, I'm going to buy corolla from the used car market asap

Yeah toyota friend, way to stick it to those pretentious Germans! Not like my salt of the earth corolla. Truly a reliable friend, like it dog or old pal. When all is really said and done, does anyone really need anything more than a corolla?
>>14106867
>furiously searches KIJIJI and craiglslist for corolas

>does anyone really need anything more than a corolla?
Nope. It's the perfect car
>>14106890
Miami?

hey fuck off you greasy fucking caveman

Corolla is far more reliable.
Better MPG.
My shitbox is clearly better than that shit box.
I drove a new Lexus last week, and what struck me the most was how isolated from the world you are. You can't hear the outside, you don't feel the road, and you certainly don't get the sense of speed or feel the Gs.
I get that most car buyers want a Comfort Safetybubble that glides them to their destination, but there's also people that want the complete opposite.
