Twin cam essentially is another way to say DOHC without saying each of the letters or saying the initialism as a non-existent word (DOHC).
As such, both twin-cam and DOHC refer to the same thing = two cams that operate co-dependantly with one operating the intake valves and one operating the exhausts.
Two or more SOHC cams operating independently and on different heads are not twin cams.
