The one in my car sees cross traffic a solid foot (at least) of roll-out before I can, so I'd say it's pretty good for the initial backup before my head takes completely over. It's godtier when a soccermom mobile or bro truck is beside me
I drive an older car from the 90s, but everytime I get a chance to drive a new car, I kinda get why these are here. They're really hard to see out of. In my car I could see if there's even a fuckin dog or something behind me while I'm backing out, but in newer cars you could just barely see if there's a kid or something from the same distance.

That said I had to move a 2014 ford the other day, spent 5 mins trying to turn the fucking thing on before I had to go get help. Turns out there's this coin holder shaped cubby hole by the drivers knee you had to stick the whole remote into and press a start button that lit up on the centre console

I have a 98' toyota and got one of these installed, you can either have it showing through the headunit if you have one that's compatible, or get one of those ones that replaces your rearview mirror, probably not worth it unless your driving something with bad vision though
