So, how do I make this car a bit more nicer to the eye? I've tried lowering it, changing the wheels to 255 wide ones, slightly tinted rear lights and so on. Been thinking about slightly tinting the windows too.

What is wrong with it? It looks mean. Wash it, change the emblems, maybe a black front kidney if you're young and want that aggressive look. And a more expensive upgrade would be to get BBS rims or something that looks more upmarket. But the current rims do look OK though.

Try masking it with electrical insulation tape (that's what I did to simulate shadowline look on my e60 - and then upgraded it) and see how you feel... BMW designs like this are very distinctive (especially today) anyway.

There's a limit to what you can get out of something that old, but working on all those little, subtle signs of age/wear will make the whole car look nicer than it is.

Yes, it's similar to wax except it's a little bar of clay you get and rub over the car. Do one panel at a time and buff off before it dries too much.
