Or maybe you're already grown up and learning manual? Still, a low powered car isn't going to cause any problems unless you're tyring to take off fast from the lights. Repeated hard launched WILL fuck up a clutch
I'm learning on a Ferd with 300lbs of torque, no tach, and a worn down clutch. It's fine. I wouldn't bother looking for an "easy" car to learn.
Standard sized car I'd look for 200+. If it's a light coupe I'd say 150+.

Low power is no problem for incline starts. You just have to give it more revs and watch all the automatic drivers around you stare at you.
Overtaking on the highway is, of course, another story. If you do a lot of highway driving you need something with more ponies

If you do need to overtake however, I would recommend something with over 150 hp at least. Not least because of how fucked up people drive these days speeding up when you try to overtake

Some people actually gun it when you try to overtake, not just subconsciously press harder on the accelerator. Who am I kidding, it's most people...
