I have always had a soft spot for the E40 but also enjoyed a more "american" attraction to high displacement and genuine power-house land-barges and trucks.
This car maintains a sophisticated individuality that makes you take a closer look at the modern lines and leaves nothing to be lost on the eyes despite it's sporty 2-door design platform.
What kind of motor can you get in it and how much are you overpaying for the logo?

I think you can get a 3 liter inline 6. Maybe a 2.5 too.
Prices are going higher for ones in good condition. It is the next great classic bmw so snatching one up right now is a good idear.
