Its a Halo car, not really designed to sell or make money. When the GT-R first release they lost money on each one sold as they wanted to initially gain interest in their brand.
The viper has been in and out of production before and it will likely be brought back in the future some time down the line (maybe even with an entirely different engine and platform) whatever the case may be snek will live even if it has to hibernate for a few years or so.
