Dumped the clutch a little hard through a mud hole the other night, got a nice rattle at idle immediatley after. First thought was exhaust leak, next was rod knock, then started noticing it went away when I depressed the clutch. Any guesses as to what I'm going to find when I get the bellhousing off? I'm assuming broken clutch spring, or flywheel cracked, not really too sure.

id say the eye broke
Sometimes its just the catalytic converter believe it or not, disengaging the clutch reduces vibration to the rest of the vehicle making the cat not rattle

Look for loose things. Could just be an exhaust component or whatever as others have said, or maybe flywheel.
Related question:
If I push the clutch in at idle, I hear a faint continuous chirping noise that I don't have in neutral.
Anyone know what this could be?

Does the clutch still work

clutch works, fine, loud rattle on downshift and above 3k. also nice clatter at 800rpms, goes away at 1k or with the clutch in

First thought was exhaust or motor mount with how it changed with vibration, but, I ruled them out this morning

sorry, not downshift, just normal upshift, or if engine braking above 1500k. pretty confident it's something with the clutch, gonna pull the starter and try to get a look in the morning

Quite possible you broke a piece off the actual plate itself and it's rattling around in there
Is it a 1 piece or two piece drive shaft? If 2 the bearing on the shaft could be bad/broken loose, but I'm going to vote the throwout bearing idea.

This. Or pilot bushing
