It's a trend known as stance. It started when drifting became popular in the US. fans noticed the profession Formula Drift cars used a lot of camber to help their racing setup and started applying it to their daily drivers. And it evolved to become more and more ridiculous since.
There is no point to it on a daily driven car. It ruins practicality, ruined the car itself, and make the car insanely dangerous to drive due to the reduced contact patch with the road.

But, it has become a trend in Japan for drifters to negative camber their wheels for better traction in sharper turns. However, only -3% or it's far too much and will cause damage to multiple parts. Which -3% camber is not much at all. It's just slightly noticeable. Pic related.

Cars like it's shown in the OP's image are usually show cars, meaning they aren't really driven on the roads. It would just be impossible to drive on a normal road and not in a parking lot. On the other hand, people who "stance" their cars, but still DD them, don't drop them too low and don't have ridiculous camber. Thanks. I enjoy it quite a bit. A lot of things are nifty about it, like being FWD when off boost to get great mpgs. Having a smaller turbo housing to spool up quicker. Having 18x7 wheels to have a smaller gap yet still handle great in turns with the AWD system. Having more tq than hp to have great launching capabilities. The shifter has short throws. The dual mass flywheel makes shifts feel like butter and feel light as fuck. And having a fucking great Bose system with a sub in the back. And the interior isn't cheap at all.
The only thing I really didn't care for is that it doesn't come with an aux port and you have to buy an aux adapter to plug in the back of the radio. Which you have to pull out the entire center console from the radio to the arm rest. And you have to get to a screw in the radio from through the side of the glovebox. Other than that it's great.
