I worked in a shop that specialized in servicing German cars. They're atrocious. German reliability is the biggest lie sold to the world.
The BMW has a better build quality than Audi, not sure about the Merc, and I think its the only one of the 3 to come with a manual gearbox. Also the top end e38 models perform better. Would go with the bimmer because dat late 90s gangster feel and most fun to drive

That's...kinda the point, Saab had an issue with punching above their weight a lot. Doesn't stop me from liking them, but I'm not too big to admit that they got a little out of hand with trying to claim that everything the Germans were making was UTTERLY INFERIOR. It's a lovely car if you're a complete dork such as myself, especially if you buy into some of the more humorous aspects.

My father used to have a 9-5 sedan, it was a normal, decent car, nothing bad and nothing great about it. The petrol engine wasnt too good on economy either so he got rid of the car. Kinda liked its looks though

the e60 is one of the most expensive bimmers to upkeep though, also its one of the least fuel efficient BMWs ever. The engines last for long unless you dont follow maintenance, it costs 20k £ (30k USD) to replace the engine in a dealership... also new oem parts are really expensive for a 10 year old car.
But for a V10 super sedan the maintenance is well worth it imho.
