I don't think you understand how math works.
If you increase rocker ratio, you increase lift of said camshaft.
.250 camshaft lift x 1.5= .375 valve lift
.250 cam lift x 1.6=.400 valve lift
It also opens the valve further on the lobe "ramps" making the camshaft act as if it has a larger duration.
