I'm driving a FWD car in Forza that makes near 400 HP for the A class.
I've lowered my tire pressure all the way down to 28.5.
Yet my front tires are still reaching 36psi on the track. When I feel most comfortable at 32-33psi.
What gives? Is this just how FWDs are to be driven? More e-brake on turns rather than struggling through the understeer?
Is having higher pressure making the car handle better?

With all the help turned off in Assetto Corsa, cars like BMW M4 or most M3s don't spin their wheels after first gear.
I can safely say having driven M3 and M4 this year that if you full throttle on 2nd or EVEN 3rd gear their wheels tend to spin (not always on 3rd)
Only in rFactor 2 did they spin like I have experienced.
Why aren't they spinning furiously in AC?

If you are using optimal track conditions, the tires will grip a lot better than they will on most real roads and tracks, try moving the track condition slider and see what happens

You can go as slow as 1/60 if a pan effect is what you're going for, it's a bit much for trying to show what's going on in a wider scene though. Panning mode 3 gives best results either way.

Paul, are you shure about running Shomaru, especially in the rain? there is not enough place for 2 cars to fit 90% of the track, so it's basicly "launch fast and don't crash" kind of track.
I think formula should be changed for this track to "sudden death deatchmatch" aka typ of races initial D is known for. Drawback is that the races are gonna take twice the amount of time.

As we pass the half-way point in the series, the broad outlines of the final standings are beginning to form. src_ej6, dethadder93 and BlackDog have all but secured podium positions, with almost 90 points separating them from SMOKEN_FOOLS in 4th. From 5th to 14th, anything could happen, especially as drivers joining mid-series begin to find their form.
This weekend's race is at Deep Forest Raceway. In contrast to last weekend's venue, the track features plenty of elevation change and different lines to experiment with. Will the twisting, undulating track produce any twists in the overall standings?
Qualifying is scheduled to start at 20:30 UTC, please join the event in good time so we can keep to the schedule. If you are worried about connection problems, add me on PSN so I can see if you are online and possibly hold the start if it looks like you are about to re-connect. Got the rest of the RACE 07 DLC off bundlestars for 1.49. It makes it way better. The addition of muscle cars is awesome, especially the camaro, and the added tracks are way better than the ones in the base game. It might not be Forza 4 for PC but it's about as close as I can get on my rig.

The connection lost problem is still apparent on the Nordschleife server, since the middle sector is roughly a couple of seconds over 3 minutes, any kind of a mistake in that sector will push the time over 3min and 20 sec which is where the server will kick you out for not sending any packets. So anyone that had problem with connection being lost during the first ovgt3 nords race is going to have them here. Also crashing, pitting and all that will also make you lose connection cause it pushes your sector time over 3 min.

They couldn't get the suspension data for the AMG GT3 since it's still being homologated, so they used the SLS GT3 suspension with slight tweaks. The end result has near-identical characteristics anyway (scrub/camber/bump steer/dive), so in practice the difference is barely noticeable.
Physics devs guessing missing values happens in every sim, since it's extremely rare to get all data for any car straight from the manufacturer. rFactor 2's DW12 was released as 1.0 and was completely fucked in multiple ways for a year before they could get multiple sources of data from teams. So once customer teams start running the AMG GT3 it will have the suspension of a 2016 Mercedes front-engined 1250kg GT3 car, instead of a 2012 Mercedes front-engined 1250kg GT3 car.

CS tires will have you fighting your car for control before thinking about the best laptime, once you get used to the lower limit is when you will be able take that 25 mph turn at 26 mph, and when that happens those RX-7's, NSX's and Ruf's driven by casuals no longer seem fast

Pretty much this. Shitty tires teach you throttle control and to brake before the turn. Once you're good on cheap tires the sports and slicks feel waaay too sticky on GT6.
