how hard is it to find cheap bolt on turbo/supercharger kits for bmws? the idea of getting a 3k e36 and then a 5k bolt on supercharger just makes me ayylmao inside.
>>
Super easy. A site called Google will show you where to get one!
>>
>>14081838
google was what showed me the 5k charger kit though.
>>
Turbo is way cheaper.
>>
>>14081863
how? i thought all the tubing involved with turbos would make them more expensive.
>>
>>14082012
What....

Charge piping is like 100 bucks total.
>>
>>14081863
turbos are for girls

enjoy your lag and dolphin squeak
>>
>>14082040
>more efficient
>more power
>cheaper

Seriously, with the new turbo technology out now there is no reason to even use a supercharger anymore...
Boot threshold=/=lag

Go look up borg efr turbos
>>
>>14082012
the equipment is inexpensive but it's much more difficult since you have to do a lot of routing and planning and once it's installed, lots of tuning

superchargers are "easier" but more expensive

it doesn't seem that they have bmw manifolds. my understanding is that you need at least an exhaust manifold, intake manifold, turbo, and boost controller. is there anything else i might need?
>>
>>14081818
see

My friend got a 325 e36 Turbo with a garret gt3582R ball bearing. The responsiveness is not what you'd expect from a turbo car, full boost at 2500-3000 RPM with 500whp and 700wnm
>>
>>14082138
did he have to do anything to it internally? that's a fuckload of power for a relatively small size inline 6
>>
>>14082135
Exhaust manifold, Exhaust, Turbo, Intake pipes, Hoses for the intake, Intercooler, Oil feed line/Y-block, Injectors, software/Aftermarket EFI, clutch, fuel pump. Those are the basic things that you will need for a beemer turbo. Stock manifold Works up to around 700 hp.
>>
>>14082170
what if i tried to use the stock injectors and fuel pump?
>>
>>14082155
Forged 2,8L crank from a 328,Stock Conrods and Pistons from a 328. Better headgasket, Arp studs, 2x intake cams(best bmw stock cams).
>>
>>14082201
You wont be able to get much increase in power.
>>
>>14081818
Severely reducing the lifespan of your shitty car sounds like a bad idea bruh
>>
>>14081818
>buy shitty unreliable German car
>want make it even more unreliable by adding boost
oh shit nigger what are you doing
>>
>>14082521
they're only reliable if you're retarded with maintenance, which judging by your post you probably are.

have fun bro
>>
>>14082581
maintenance can only go so far,
example, BMWs twisting drive shafts

am i sposed to change out the drive shaft when i change my oil?
>>
>>14082883
You don't untwist your driveshaft at the same time you do your headlight switch and water pump maintenance? No wonder you think BMWs are unreliable
>>
>>14082135
Theres manifolds everywhere...
ebay cast for 100 bucks will outlast the car.

t4 flange is universal....
>>
>>14082868
thats from a mercedes.. the e36 part is $60
>>
>>14082883
>bmws twisting driveshafts
literally what

>>14082923
you should check your ujoint, center bearing, and check the guibo every time you do a clutch t b h in any car.

and what are you talking about headlight switch? mine has 200k never had a problem with any switch in it. never had a problem with the water system either. just went to a metal impeller when i got it.
>>
>>14082937
>$100 ebay manifold will outlast the car
LOL good joke dude. I wouldnt expect a $100 ebay manifold to last over 10k miles and it would probably break the first 2 laps of track use.
>>
>>14083020
you underestimate ebay manifolds it's not like they're used tires.
