bought this today.. mint condition '87 244 with only 110k km's

OP, since you own a volvo as well, might you be able to tell me just how much the engine is supposed to dance around in the engine bay? when idling or turning off the ignition the entire car is bouncing around on the springs because of engine movement.. the motor mounts seem solid

The engine in my car doesnt vibrate or move around as much as your saying, it does vibrate a bit when starting up and turning off but nowhere as bad as "bouncing around on the suspension", Try googling the problem or posting on a Volvo forum such as Brickboard, Turbobricks, Volvoforums.
