Landcruisers and their Lexus counterparts are expensive af, 4 Runners are all beat to shit.
My only choices are the Rav 4 or the CRV.
Both made in Japan and asre very cheap where I am, I'd like to use it to carry some tools, camping gear, and for road trips across the country.

I also considered Caldinas and Subbie wagons but I need something "bigger" that I can fall asleep in.
Their weak engines are really offputting though, same with anything in its class.

The older 2.5s in the legacy is where they got the famous head gasket stigma but I had the forester in the picture from 100,000 miles to 140,000 miles where it was used pretty hard for everything and it never had a issue.

No low range, would just get regular Subaru instead.
I've driven both CR-V and Rav4 and I can say they are shit, but CR-V is less shit in any case.
I would suggest you get a Suzuki SJ410, It's easy to lift them and get some all terrain tires on if that's what you want for camping and driving tractor roads.
