>Shitbox is burning 1 qt of oil every 450-500 miles.

How fucked am I?

Just take some spare oil with you

Ron Jeremy, Mr Marcus and Mandingo all at once.

Just buy a couple quarts of oil and keep them with you. When you get to your destination, find a pond, put it in neutral, and let her roll in, anon. Then go on CL wherever you are and buy the cheapest thing that runs. It'll get you home, thus completing the shitbox cycle.

Isn't the oil burning bad though? Won't something break?
>tfw no qt oil
youll be fine, just top her off every tank. You will probably burn less oil since its all highway miles.

Probably lost a seal somewhere
Burning oil is bad if you let the oil run out, otherwise if you keep it topped off at every fuel stop then you're fine
>>14066812
No, I did Power Tour (2500 miles or so) burning a quart every 400 as well.

Take a greyhound, you'll spend the ticket price on oil if you make it at all.

check the engine to see if it's leaking anywhere like the valve cover, but if it's burning that much in the cylinder then the piston rings are bad. You should be good just topping it up every time you fuel up.
>mfw my manual sez to check the oil every time you fuel up b/c turbo burns it
>mfw a ford that burns a quart of oil in 1,000 miles is within "normal" specs
Change your pcv valve.
If you don't have blown valve seals or piston rings, this should fix your problem.

Eventually the buildup of carbon deposits will cause valve issues and pre-ignition.
