But an automatic car is no fun
THE HYDRAMATIC IS THE GREATEST TRANSMISSION EVER MADE
>>14065758
This is probably closest to what you want.
But i personally think you should buy a civic and get the fuck out.

saged for faggotry
>>14065785
You actually thought your thread "Automatic Recommendation" wasn't going to attract shitposters? Nice b8.
>>14065762
new or used? because I'm not sure you can get a sub 7 0-60 car for under 20k new.
>>14065842

I meant it in a serious don't need trolls not bait thread. What hsould I title it>

Don't. Don't make another shitty sage thread.
Use google or something faggot.
>>14065779
Only good post in this thread.
>>14065870
Just "car recommendation", It doesn't matter though because as soon as anyone finds out you only want automatic your opinion is immediately discarded. Just delete the thread before it turns into a auto vs manual thread #3.14^2
FF can't compete

Why? Does wanting an automatic immediately turn the car into shit?
Stop trolling and post serious replies

Because its shit regardless of how much OP sucks dick.

fuggin ebic meemz
And while I would get the manual, an auto isn't going to be a whole lot less fun, you can easily break the rear tires loose and the auto is going to be more competitive in bracket racing.
>>14066121
>f-bodies can't turn
correct

That looks nice and fun to drive. I bet it get's awful MPGs.
>>14066289
Not too bad considering what they are. Just lug them around in high gears most of the time.
>>14065800
But most supercars are automatic with paddle shifters.
>>14065744
can i ask if you actually know how to drive manual?
>>14066351
if he knew how to drive a manual he wouldnt be buying an automatic
>>14066338
and they are less fun than a balls out 90s japanese sports car with twin aftermarket turbos and a stick
>>14066368
Confirmed for never driving any supercar.
>>14066368
>>14066372
both confirmed for not driving what they're talking about
>>14066377
Of course I don't daily a fucking supercar, but I still am graced by my father for being able to drive his handful, as well as frequenting tracks where you're able to rent a few.
I daily an M3.
>>14066406
if you can't do double clutched heel-toe downshifts i will always be somewhat disappointed
>>14066351
>>14066363
Meh i'm not a fan. Started on auto and dont' want to switch.
>>14066478
for me, i started on auto, bought a car with a manual, was forced to use it, and love it.
there's nothing an auto offers me other than just being a little lazy i guess?
i dont really have to expend any mental effort to do any shifting i need
it's also fun and satisfying to apply physical finesse that took a while to achieve
>>14066478
>im not a fan of manual
>>>/g/
>>>/n/
>>14066478
I'd seriously consider giving manual a try at least.
>>14066338
>thinking a clutchless sequential manual is at all similar to a slushbox
>all this autofag delusion
"dude F1 uses automatics ur just stuck in the past grampa"
>>14066555
i think most of them are DCTs now
so you get your auto lazy mode and fast shifting like a sequential
>>14065744
never had issues changing gears manually, driven heavy good vehicles for a long time over long distances and never once owned or driven an automatic car, except for having a go in my friends mercedes estate which was automatic, confused whilst driving it, approached corners and slowed down attempting to go for the non existent clutch to down shift, listening to the sounds of the engine and trying to manually select the gears myself. It would be more dangerous for me to drive an auto as apposed to a manual, good thing really since manual transmissions are simpler, easy to work on and more reliable. Since humans are designed to walk all day long it should be easy for anyone to drive a manual car in any environment/conditions you can drive in period.
unless you are doing time attack, drag racing, or heavy traffic like in New York, manual will always be superior
end of story
>Automatic that can go 0-60 in under 7 seconds.
That is really not that impressive.
An F150 pickup meets that criteria
>>14066555
Pretty much this.
They have no concept between a slushy mushy drive, or a direct mechanical link. Or how that relates to driving.
>>14065800
Not OP, but I'm stupid as shit to the point just driving around excites me.
Clutch just makes me sad because bunny-hopping for hours is not fun. (I bunny hopped for 6 hours straight, I just cannot fathom how to work a manual)
>>14066934
what's bunny-hopping
>>14066338
And who are supercars catered to?
"Enthusiasts" who keep them in a showroom or rich people who don't know the difference between an inline and V engine.
Performance-wise, DCT is God-tier. As far as fun goes it's just not the same.
>>14066983
Lurching? I don't know.
>>14065762
Well then.
>>14067360
Practice finding the engagement point without using any gas and getting it to roll. Once you get that down, apply a decent amount of power and slowly let out the clutch while maintaining the power.
For example, I rev my f250 to 2000 rpm and let out the clutch. I also never use first gear unless I'm towing something
>>14065744
You best bet is something like this
1990-2000Lexus SC400.
4.0L 1UZ-FE DOHC V8
shares most of its chassis with the MK4 Toyota Supra.
>>14066756
amen
>>14066756
the truth has just been spoken, although automated manuals (dual clutch systems) are better than traditional autos (slushbox) for pretty much everything
