Currently working on a factory-level rally car i just got. Build thread?
if you want to make a thread about your car just make the thread not some half ass attempt at telling us to post our race cars when 50% of this board doesnt even own a car.
lookin good

Post pics pleaaaaaaase!
Fuck ya build thread, faggot.
Im pretty sure "rally cars are cool" is the only thing we can all agree on.
>>14065539
>posting a costumers car in a build thread
Hmm
>>14065560
he is a tripfag, of course he would engage in such faggotry
just filter him
>>14065560
>I just got
>factory level

How do you just get something you built, that was built at the factory? This thread is obviously nonsense to begin with.
>>14065590
yep you're definitely filtered.
>>14065569
thanks for the heads up
Here's one I actually helped build.
>>14065603
>I'm downvoting you, please acknowledge this!
I'm replacing floor pans, frame rails and taking care of rust on my 240z... More of a fix thread candidate, but I'm puttin' in work for sure
>>14065628
Are you going to play Jenga to get it back on the wheels?
>>14065628
should have stitched the strut tower seams while u were there, but looks good.
>>14065605
When are you going to clean Eddie's driveway?
>>14065850
I had nothing to do with that whole fiasco.
>>14065617
and you did :^)
>>14065628
Shit anon, that looks really good. Nice job.
>>14065646
Probably still will, along with reinforcing the steering assembly. I just needed to get it into epoxy primer before it started to rust
kind of racecarish
>>14066188
what brand paint and gun did you use? just wondering. or aerosol?
>>14066231
Bought the gun from Harbor Freight for $7 on sale and 64 ounces of epoxy primer from the Eastwood store near my house for 40 bucks. It covered my engine bay, both floor pans, top and bottom and I still have some left
>>14065524
Dan?
>>14066382
nice. do you have a build thread or something cause im interested in how eastwoods paint will lay with an HF gun.
i have a track/street build that I'm going to start body work on soon that I honestly don't want to pay real money for a paint job since it's gonna get tracked anyway, but i still want it too look good. was going to try eastwood and a cheap gun.
>>14066419
I don't. But I should, I've got hundreds of pictures from the tons of hours invested so far.
And I couldn't be happier with the way their primers and paints lay out with the HF gun. I mean, I really take my time with the prep work, but they look professional quality to me
Does someone say racecar shit? Posting my camaro project with my father that will be once again resurrected next winter/spring.
>>14066536
You fabricating your own sheet metal flares?
>>14066546
Yep. Tacked on some framework years ago that I need to redo and cut up the front fenders. Still deciding if we want to go through with it or just buy some stock repro front fenders and make it a bit more streetable instead of solely a track car.
>>14066536
>>14066559
World needs more 2nd gen's with flares. Your doing god's work anon.
>>14066790
Thanks mang. It started as a six cylinder 3spd manual that was gold on tan. Very ugly. Going to be a dark green and have a gm 502 with a Muncie 4spd we have. I am excite.
>>14066891
502 and a 4spd. Sounds like it be a mildly amusing car.
I take it your using those rims/tires its sitting on. If so what size one those monsters.
>>14066790
The Group C period rocks my socks.
Would love to see a national modern day equivalent.
>>14066977
Oh god I don't even remember it's been so long. I'm pretty sure the fronts are 15x10 and the rears are 15x15 or something close to that. They were Pontiac rally wheels we had rebarreled and widened. I do know for a fact that the tires that are on the car in the pic are from a gt40 and our wheels are to very similar spec as the gt40 wheels except our are obviously not center lock. We got the tires from the vintage races at Pacific raceways in Kent Washington. We have a stockpile of a few sets that have some decent tread left on them.
>>14066790
God that thing is fucking gorgeous.
>>14067114
Good to see it on 15's and one monster width ones at that.
As for the Camaro in pic it used modified flares from MK2 Ford Escort. Rims where 16x10 and 16x13 I think. Would have to find the Muscle Car magazine I have with it in it.
>>14067164
hurddurr i am. Save a pic as a gif.
