Family member got hit and the car is getting totaled, pic was the car she used to have. Whats a good DD for 10-15k that would be good for so-cal? Reliability, gas, comfort are important. Suggestions?

I work for a dealer and I price & market (not sell) cars for a living.
Ford Fusion, Chrysler 200, 4th & 5th gen (2007-2009) maybe even a few 2010's will fit the bill.
Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra - or Altima is you want to get a bigger car.

Civics are overvalued IMO and Honda reliability has been declining.

Forget anything European - reliability is shit.
