Rape is a scary, traumatic thing. It violates your rights to liberty and property. It's s terrible thing to have happen to you.
I haven't been raped, so the following is pure conjecture: I believe the primary reason it is so terrible is because of the violation of liberty, and the secondary reason is the uncertainty involved. What if you catch some lethal disease? What if you get pregnant?
I do feel that if a person considered "sexy" by the victim rapes them, they're less likely to report it/more likely to be able to move on, since it's someone they could have been convinced to having consensual sex with. /r9k/ as it is, I do think men and women alike will subconsciously take rape more seriously from an ugly person they never want to lay than a hot person they could at least get off on.
