Now, I know you think this will result in a punctured tire, but the principle is the same as a bed of nails.

Summer tires will crack and ruin in the snow, winter tires will wear out extremely fast in the summer and even if they look good, will still be ruined for winter use. All seasons, as you discovered, are good in neither snow or summer and you got some ghetto ass brand you picked up at the Goodwill donation center to make things worse.
